Blog Entry #1

PSAs play a vital role in our society and media culture because they are the easiest, most effective way to send messages to people.  Media is everywhere and everyone is seeing it.  PSAs are all over the tv, radio, billboards, etc., places that are likely to be seen by lots of people.  For my PSA our group chose to create a pitch for the media center fundraiser.  It is to be seen by many and the main message we are portraying through the video is that our media center has not been updated and we need donated money.  I think we all came up with the idea for a music video because we could create the lyrics.  We decided to do them comical that way people would remember it.  Also, we watched other videos that were library donation related and they were really cheesy and planned out.  We wanted ours to seem more freestyle, relate to the people watching it, and humor them!
